my head up in the clouds but my feet be on the pavement

Ugh, I disappeared again.

School started up again and just....to say it's been stressful is an understatement. I finally feel like things are finally getting a bit more settled, but holy sweet baby Jesus I almost cried the first day I had my groups. I do have some really great, funny kids and I refuse to let the buttheads get me down. These kids are going to do the math and get their benchmarks up as God is my witness.

Not much has been up in my personal life. I started my EDU220 class 3 weeks ago, and because of homework/work I haven't really had a chance to go out and do much of anything. In fact, this blog is getting written because I'm procrastinating on two assignments. But I get to do some observing in the classroom which should be fun. Also, I'm getting an A.

Family wise, I don't get to visit the Brother during Fall Break this year. BUT....I might get to go for Thanksgiving. I would fly out Tuesday night and come back Sunday night, and get to go into the city for the Macy's parade. Like, you have no idea how excited I am about this. I miss NYC and the food and the endless list of things to see...also seeing the Brother will be awesome. So yeah, I'm already counting down the days til I can pull out the suitcase.

So that's about it folks. Time to get to the homework so I can take a nap. Ciao!

The work life is spiraling. There's a major schedule change coming and the work wife and I didn't receive a single email about it and had to hear about it from other teachers. I'm livid and extremely unhappy so I told my District lead to keep a heads up for schools that might have an opening because I am hating life right now. This week is Fall Break which means I get a break from the work BS. Saturday was spent at the Fair watching Kai and her belly-dancing troupe. Then it was odd food choices (caramel crack fries & hot cheetos pizza) before hanging with Carlos for a bit and meeting up with everyone after. Then yesterday Kai and I hit up the Garbage concert which was AMAZING. There were however two complaints.
