hello friend of a friend.

Things are good. No work today because of a Dr. appointment, so I took the day and got a ton of shit done. Had the appointment, had breakfast w/ Mom, hit up Old Navy for jeans, and got my nails did. Tomorrow I get my hair did and in between I need to get homework and work stuff done. Also, I have 5 days until Fall Break. Kind of sad I won't be spending it with the bro, but 5 glorious days to just hang out and not have to set an alarm....I'm dying. I need it.

Speaking of work, I got the best email from my principal this afternoon. The director of my department at district, sent her an email saying that my work wife and I are amazing. Like, this director is kind of my idol because not only is she amazingly good at her job, I am in constant awe of her fashion style. Like, just....I want to bow down to her at times. I had a very 'Senpai noticed me' reaction and after the first quarter I've had, let's be honest it felt really good. Then again, I love me some validation too, but still.

Not much going on. Planning what I want to get done over break. I'm going to have a ton of homework (yay group projects, said no one ever) but I also want to hit up the art museum. They have a new Mexican art exhibit from Teotihuacan and I think I may do some record shopping because OMG IT'S BEEN TOO LONG SINCE I'VE STEPPED INTO ZIA. Sigh, I digress.

Ok, I'm procrastinating on my homework (again) so I'm going to jet. Later days!

The work life is spiraling. There's a major schedule change coming and the work wife and I didn't receive a single email about it and had to hear about it from other teachers. I'm livid and extremely unhappy so I told my District lead to keep a heads up for schools that might have an opening because I am hating life right now. This week is Fall Break which means I get a break from the work BS. Saturday was spent at the Fair watching Kai and her belly-dancing troupe. Then it was odd food choices (caramel crack fries & hot cheetos pizza) before hanging with Carlos for a bit and meeting up with everyone after. Then yesterday Kai and I hit up the Garbage concert which was AMAZING. There were however two complaints. One, the super tall grossly affectionate couple blocking my view because they couldn't leave each other alone. And two, the bitch in front of me who videotaped THE ENTIRE FUCKING CONCERT.
