i will love you on your birthday (pt. 1)

Oh what fun, my birthday.

I feel weird about my birthday. At my age, my mom had two kids. My grandmother had many more. It's just so weird what that number makes us feel inside. And don't get me started about going out for my birthday.While it’s nice, I don’t enjoy the planning process or worrying if anyone will show up. But you know what, this year was fun. There was not a big group on account of traveling and illness, but fun was definitely had. And there was whiskey….so much whiskey.

Shana and I got a room downtown because we were also planning on being downtown for NYE (more on that next time), and then we hit one of our favorite dive bars. There was food, a lot of alcohol, and a very drunk girl named Jasmine. But it was amazing because I got to catch up with some of my favorite people on the planet. Got back to the hotel and fell asleep watching The Twilight Zone.
